October 9 & 10, 2009
6th Annual Annual Conference on Simulation Technology in Healthcare Professions Education
For the first time, the annual meeting in simulation technology
was brought to an outside venue and expanded into a two-day
format. Traditionally, this meeting served the local community
of medical educators interested in simulation as a means to train
clinicians. This year our expanded format drew international
attention.
During the two-day conference, thirteen speakers presented their
work on simulation technology in the healthcare profession. Topics
included setting performance standards, effective and productive debriefing, the value of multidisciplinary
training and in situ simulations, and developing a team-oriented scientific methodology for the study of
simulation-based medical education.
Please check our website as soon video podcasts of the proceedings will be
available.
