Research Planning Committee Mission Statement

To promote best practices in educational, assessment, and patient safety research that involve the Center’s resources or staff. The Committee is responsible for:

• Maintaining the high standard for research that is produced at Feinberg School of Medicine by endorsing and supporting robust instructional and study design.
• Reviewing in a timely fashion all research proposals that will require Center resources (including facilities, personnel, equipment, assessment instruments) to:

  • Reviewing in a timely fashion all research proposals that will require Center resources (including facilities, personnel, equipment, assessment instruments) to:
• Support principal investigators and their staff with the grant process by providing standard supporting documentation, assistance in research design, budgeting, and planning.
• Provide mentorship to perspective researchers planning and conducting research that pertains to the Center’s portfolio.
• Work with the Northwestern University Office of Sponsored Research and Institutional Review Board to streamline grant applications that involve Center’s resources.
